Michael has been navigating the scene for around 20 years and has been personally familiar with AVANTGARDISTA for quite some time. This year marks the third time he is supporting the event. Having started as an all-rounder, since last year he can primarily be found in Stage Management.
However, the backstage area was not entirely foreign to him before that. Through participating friends and his partner, he has seen firsthand over the years how much organization, improvisation, and sometimes even a little bit of chaos are part of a great show.
He is often right in the thick of the action, yet he prefers orchestrating from the background. Organizing, maintaining an overview, and providing solutions when plans change spontaneously are among his strengths. Therefore, Stage Management is a perfect fit for him.
What he particularly likes about AVANTGARDISTA is the mix of fashion, fetish, art, and the many different people who come together to create something extraordinary.
And in case you can’t remember his name among so many faces: with his handlebar mustache, he often stands out from the crowd.
