Valentin, also known as master_pixl, has been photographing since 2019 and naturally feels most at
home where things get a little more unusual. Away from the mainstream and
polished, run-of-the-mill aesthetics, he usually finds the more interesting subjects.
Since 2023, AVANTGARDISTA has also been part of his photographic playground. There, fashion meets
fetish, staging on personality and sometimes a rather harmless
look has an anything but harmless effect.
His gaze is less focused on the perfect pose and more on what happens in between. A
look, a posture, body language, or that one moment when a situation suddenly
takes on a completely different tension. It is precisely these small shifts in boundaries that make a picture interesting for
him.
Fashion and fetish are certainly allowed to play with each other. Sometimes elegant, sometimes dark,
sometimes cheeky, and sometimes quite wicked. Not everything needs to be shown. On the
contrary: What is only hinted at and completed in the viewer’s mind is often
much more exciting.
master_pixl likes images that aren’t fully told after the first glance. Images with
atmosphere, edges, and preferably a little mental cinema. A pose
that promises more than it actually shows. A look where you’re not quite sure
if you’re just watching or if you’re already the one being addressed.
And sometimes, that’s exactly when the best picture emerges – when the line between fashion, fetish,
and the pure moment blurs a little.
Because anyone can be well-behaved, after all.
